Currency Converter

A currency converter multiplies an amount by the exchange rate between two currencies. This tool uses daily mid-market reference rates from ExchangeRate-API for more than 50 currencies and shows the date of the rates. Banks and card providers add a margin, so the rate you receive will usually be less favorable than the mid-market rate.

Free, no signup. Downloads live reference data; your values stay in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

What is the mid-market exchange rate?

It is the midpoint between the buy and sell prices of a currency. It is a reference rate; banks, cards and transfer services usually add a margin or fee on top.

How often are the rates updated?

The provider publishes reference rates once a day. The date of the rates in use is shown under the result.

What happens if the rates cannot be loaded?

The converter shows a clear message and a Try again button instead of an out-of-date estimate, so you never see a misleading figure.

Is my amount sent anywhere?

No. Only the daily rate table is downloaded; the amount you type is multiplied in your browser.
