How to use the PDF Splitter

1. Click "Select a PDF file" or drop a PDF onto the upload area.
2. Choose a split mode: single pages, extract pages, custom ranges or every N pages.
3. For extract or custom ranges, type pages such as 1-3, 5, 8- (8- means page 8 to the end).
4. Click "Split PDF".
5. Download each file, or use "Download all" when there are several.

Frequently asked questions

How do I extract only some pages from a PDF?

Choose "Extract pages into one PDF", enter the pages, for example 2, 5-7, and click Split PDF. You get one file containing just those pages in document order.

How do I split a PDF into several files by range?

Choose "Split by custom ranges" and enter ranges separated by commas, such as 1-3, 4-6, 7-. Each range becomes its own PDF.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Splitting is done by JavaScript in your browser, so the file stays on your device.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then split the unlocked copy.
