How to use the Image Resizer

  1. Click Choose image or drag a photo onto the box.
  2. Enter a width or height (the other updates while Lock aspect ratio is on), click a percentage, or pick a social media size.
  3. If the shape changes, choose Crop to fill, Fit inside or Stretch.
  4. Pick the output format and quality, check the preview, then click Download.

Frequently asked questions

Does resizing reduce image quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Enlarging it beyond its original size cannot add detail, so it will look softer; the tool warns you when you upscale. For JPEG and WebP, the quality slider also affects compression.

How do I resize without stretching the image?

Keep Lock aspect ratio switched on and change only the width or the height. When you need a different shape, such as a square, choose Crop to fill to trim the edges or Fit inside to add a background instead of distorting the photo.

What size should an Instagram post be?

The presets use 1080 × 1080 px for square posts, 1080 × 1350 px for portrait posts and 1080 × 1920 px for Stories and Reels, which are the sizes widely recommended for Instagram. Check the platform’s current guidance for special formats.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The image is decoded and redrawn on a canvas inside your browser, and the download is created locally. Nothing is sent to naqashthaheem.com or any third party.
